All Wigs are Not Created Equal
Wigs have received a bad reputation. And in may cases they deserve it, having been designed for the mass consumer market and sold in stores and online as “fashion wigs.” At Graff Technology, we leave fashion wigs for others.The hair replacement profession is unique in that it is one in which you only notice bad workmanship. Quality craftsmanship — our best work, of which we are most proud — is never seen, because it looks so natural.
For more then three decades, Graff Technology has worked very hard to make sure that our medical grade wigs and hair replacement systems are of the very highest quality — in design, craftsmanship and styling. A medical grade wig is a wig or hair prosthesis which is custom crafted for the individual with little or no scalp hair and has been carefully designed so as not to irritate a sensitive scalp.
The vast majority of our wigs are hand made. Hand knotting gives the wig a much more natural appearance with respect to the amount of hair in the cap as well as how it moves when the wig is worn. It also offers greater comfort, since it is lighter and cooler than wigs that are made by machine. Whether the hair is natural or synthetic, hand knotting makes a huge difference.
100% Human Hair Wigs

Unlike synthetic, human hair wigs allow you to use hot blowers, rollers and curling (straightening) irons. As a result, you have styling options that are limited only by your imagination.
All of our custom wigs are hand knotted and use the very finest 100% European and processed human hair. This allows you a look that cannot be surpassed. We have clients from all over the world that come to us for these wigs.
Human hair wigs start off with no style. They are cut and customized to the look that you want. For this reason we do not have set styles like with the synthetic wigs.
Our virgin European hair is unmatched anywhere. Most wigs use processed human hair from China. The hair must be stripped of the cuticle and bleached in a rather nasty chemical process. ‘Virgin’ hair from Europe has not undergone this process. As a result, it is softer and lighter, with a more natural color and depth of tone, and has much more strength. In a word, it is simply beautiful.
Synthetic Hair Wigs
The synthetic hair that we choose for our custom wigs is of a much higher quality than you would see in a department store or catalog. Our synthetic wigs are ‘medical quality,’ leaving others to provide what we call ‘fashion wigs’.
Medical quality wigs, especially those made with synthetic hair, are a huge improvement over machine made fashion wigs. The cap is especially designed to fit the shape of a head that has little or no hair. Even the materials used to create the wig are designed with care so as not to irritate a sensitive scalp.
